Attorney advertising
This website constitutes attorney advertising under the California Rules of Professional Conduct and California SB-37 (effective January 1, 2026). The responsible attorney is identified below and on every page of this website.
No legal advice
The information on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and should not be relied on as, legal advice for any specific matter. Specific California civil litigation matters require specific advice grounded in the facts of the matter, the applicable law as of the date of advice, and the procedural posture of any related proceedings.
Statutes, court rules, and case law change. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the website current, we do not undertake to update every page to reflect every change in California law. Verify any specific statutory or procedural point with current counsel before acting on it.
No attorney-client relationship
Submitting this form does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only through a signed written engagement agreement. Please do not submit confidential or sensitive information until such a relationship is established.
Communications submitted through this website — including case evaluation forms, contact forms, email, or telephone calls — do not establish an attorney-client relationship. Until a written engagement agreement has been signed by both you and Think Legal, P.C., no representation has been undertaken. Information transmitted before an engagement is in place may not be protected by attorney-client privilege.
No representation about results
Past results do not guarantee, warrant, or predict future outcomes. Each matter has its own facts, law, procedural posture, and counterparties. Even matters that appear similar can produce different results. Nothing on this website should be read as a prediction or promise about how any specific matter would be resolved.
Where the website discusses legal procedures, remedies, or standards, it does so generally and as informational background. Specific application of those procedures and standards to a particular matter requires specific counsel engaged on that matter.
Jurisdictional scope
Taylor E. Darcy is licensed to practice in the State of California. The firm’s practice is California civil litigation. The firm does not represent clients in matters outside California except where Taylor E. Darcy is admitted in a relevant federal court for that matter, or where pro hac vice admission is appropriately sought. Information on this website may not apply to other jurisdictions.
Confidentiality of inquiries
We treat case evaluation submissions and other inquiries as confidential to the extent applicable rules of professional conduct require. We run a conflicts check on every submission before substantive engagement is considered. Submission of a case evaluation form does not preclude us from representing an adverse party in the matter described if a conflict prevents us from representing you, though we will treat the information you provide consistent with our professional obligations.
Do not submit information you wish to keep absolutely confidential through any channel before a signed engagement agreement is in place. If you have a sensitive matter, the most protective approach is a brief preliminary inquiry, followed by a confidentiality discussion if and when engagement is being considered.
Reliance and verification
Statutes, rules, and case names referenced on this website are stated for informational purposes. Numbering and content of California statutes can change. Citations should be verified against current sources before being relied on for any specific legal decision. The California State Bar maintains current professional licensing information, and the California Legislative Information service (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov) maintains current statutory text.
