Fees and Engagement

Litigation is expensive because it has to be done correctly. Cutting corners on procedure, evidence, or strategy makes it more expensive — usually for the client who tried to save.

The complimentary case evaluation

Every engagement begins with a confidential 30-minute case evaluation. The evaluation is complimentary and is intended to determine three things: whether we’re the right fit for the matter, what realistic outcomes look like, and what an engagement might require. It is not a sales pitch.

Fee structures

Most matters are handled on an hourly basis with a refundable engagement deposit. Where it makes sense for a particular matter, we structure hybrid arrangements (reduced hourly plus success fee) or, in rare circumstances, contingency. Engagement structure is matter-specific and confirmed in writing before any work begins.

What we don’t take

Small-claims matters, consumer debt defense, personal injury, criminal defense, family law, and routine collections. We decline matters where the cost of doing the work properly outweighs the realistic recovery.

When the matter is serious, the first move matters.

Submit a confidential litigation inquiry. We review and follow up within one business day.
